Overview
ShadeCalc is a professional shade pricing calculator designed for shade installers and contractors. We take the privacy and security of your data seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the controls you have over your information.
What Data We Collect
Account Information
Your name and email address from your Manus OAuth login. We do not store passwords — authentication is handled entirely by Manus OAuth.
Saved Quotes
When you save a quote, we store the client name, quote number, shade costs, rates, and calculated results. This data is tied to your account and only accessible by you.
Calculator Preferences
Your preferred calculator settings (rates, margins, tax percentages) are saved so they persist across sessions and devices.
Subscription Information
If you subscribe, we store your Stripe customer ID and subscription ID for billing management. We never store credit card numbers, CVVs, or full payment details — all payment processing is handled securely by Stripe.

How We Protect Your Data
Encryption in Transit
All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using SSL/TLS (HTTPS). This prevents anyone from intercepting your data.
Secure Database
Your data is stored in a managed cloud database (TiDB) with SSL connections, automated backups, and access controls. The database is not publicly accessible.
Authentication
Access to your data requires authentication through Manus OAuth. Each API request verifies your session before returning any data. Users can only access their own quotes and settings.
Payment Security
All payment processing is handled by Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. We never see or store your full card details.
Your Data Rights
Export Your Data
You can download a complete copy of all your data (quotes, preferences, settings) as a JSON file at any time from Account Settings.
Delete Your Data
You can permanently delete all your data and close your account from Account Settings. This action removes all quotes, preferences, and account information and cannot be undone.
Delete Individual Quotes
You can delete any individual saved quote at any time from the Saved Quotes page.
Automatic Quote Expiration
You can configure automatic quote expiration in Account Settings. When enabled, saved quotes will be automatically deleted after the specified number of days (30, 60, 90, 180, or 365 days). This helps keep your data clean and ensures old client information doesn't persist indefinitely.
Account Deletion
If you choose to delete your account, we permanently remove all data associated with your account from our database, including your profile, saved quotes, calculator preferences, and settings. This action is immediate and irreversible. If you have an active Stripe subscription, you should cancel it before deleting your account.
